Industries / Retail & Restaurants
Keep the registers ringing.
If the internet or the point-of-sale network drops on a Saturday night, you're losing money by the minute. Retail and restaurant IT is about keeping the doors open.
What we see
What retail & restaurants IT actually needs.
- /01
POS and card processing
Point-of-sale systems need a reliable network, and card data needs to be kept away from guest and staff devices with VLANs.
- /02
Guest Wi-Fi
Customers expect Wi-Fi. It should be fast, simple to join and completely separate from your registers and office.
- /03
Internet outages
Failover internet keeps card machines and online orders working when the main connection drops.
- /04
Cameras
Register, stockroom and parking lot cameras that record reliably and that you can check from your phone.

Can guest Wi-Fi really be separate from our registers?
Yes, and it should be. Separate networks on the same equipment keep guests and card data apart.
What happens to our POS if the internet goes down?
Without failover, card processing usually stops. A backup connection, often cellular, can take over automatically.
