Networking / Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi that reaches the back office.
Most “slow internet” is really a tired router, one overworked access point or a closet full of mystery cables. We design networks for the building you actually have.
The router your internet provider dropped off was never meant to run a business. It has one Wi-Fi signal trying to cover the whole building, guests share the same network as your accounting computer, and nobody can see what's going on.
We replace that with a business firewall, managed switches and properly placed access points, all managed from one place so problems show up on our screen before they show up as complaints.
What's included
- Network assessments and Wi-Fi coverage walk-throughs
- Business firewalls and router replacements, including UniFi
- Access points placed and tuned for your building
- Separate networks (VLANs) for staff, guests, cameras and phones
- Managed switching and network closet cleanup
- Internet failover so one outage doesn't stop the business
- Point-to-point wireless links to reach docks, shops and outbuildings
- Secure remote access with a VPN
Outbuildings, docks and big lots
Marinas, RV parks, shops and yards often need network where running cable isn't practical. Point-to-point wireless links can carry a connection hundreds of feet or more to reach a dock, a gate or a second building.
FAQ
Networks & Wi-Fi: common questions
Why is our Wi-Fi slow when the internet speed test looks fine?
Usually because the Wi-Fi is the bottleneck, not the internet. One access point trying to cover a whole office, walls it can't get through, or too many devices on the same channel all cause it.
Do we need to replace everything?
Rarely. We'll tell you what's worth keeping. Often a new firewall and one or two well-placed access points fix most of the problem.
Can you run network cable?
We plan the network and handle everything that plugs into it. Cable runs are done by licensed low-voltage partners we work with, coordinated by us so you still have one point of contact.
