Microsoft 365 / Cloud

Microsoft 365, set up like it should be.

Email, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive that are organized, secured and actually owned by your business, with licensing that matches what you use.

A lot of Microsoft 365 setups were built in a hurry: someone bought a few licenses, moved email over and never went back. Years later, nobody's sure who the admin is, company files live in personal OneDrive folders, and a former employee's account is still active.

We start by getting your tenant under control, then build it out so it helps instead of just existing.

What's included

  • New Microsoft 365 setups and moves from Google Workspace, GoDaddy email or on-prem Exchange
  • Licensing review so you're not paying for plans you don't use, purchased through our Microsoft distributor
  • Entra ID accounts, MFA and Conditional Access configured and documented
  • Shared files moved into SharePoint and Teams with sensible permissions
  • Shared mailboxes, distribution lists and room calendars
  • Email authentication with SPF, DKIM & DMARC
  • User access reviews: who has what, what's shared outside the company, what can be cleaned up
  • Backup of Microsoft 365 data, because Microsoft's retention isn't the same as a backup

Who owns your tenant?

If the global admin account belongs to a former employee, an old IT company or your nephew who set it up, you don't fully control your own email. Getting ownership and admin access sorted out is step one on every Microsoft 365 project.

Moving off a server

Many offices can retire an aging file server by moving shared files to SharePoint. Some can't, usually because of line-of-business software that expects a local server. We'll tell you which one you are before anything moves.

FAQ

Microsoft 365 & Cloud: common questions

Does Microsoft back up my email and files?

Microsoft keeps your data available and has some recycle-bin style retention, but it's not a true backup. If something's deleted or encrypted and it's past retention, it's gone. A separate Microsoft 365 backup covers that.

Can you move us from Google Workspace or GoDaddy email?

Yes. We plan the cutover so email keeps flowing, move mail, calendars and contacts, and set up everyone's devices so Monday morning isn't a mess.

Which Microsoft 365 plan do we need?

Most small businesses land on Business Standard or Business Premium. Premium adds security features like Conditional Access and device management that are worth it for a lot of offices. We'll recommend based on what you actually do.
